The Slate Pipe Banjo Draggers with Criadero en Seres

Auld Lang Syne

London, UK and Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Slate Pipe Banjo Draggers are the musical project of Andrew Rowe, sometimes helped by contributions from friends and family. Currently based in London, music and sounds are both improvised and constructed using field recordings, toys, acoustic and electronic instruments. Sounds are collected, played and recorded and arranged in a computer to form songs.

Criadero en Seres are a group of musicians and artists who are based in Buenos Aires. They specialize in improvised live sound collages and surrealist art events. They communicate and collaborate with the Slate Pipe Banjo Draggers via the internet and have been exchanging sound files and songs to use in live performance, to remix and to create new sounds from each others source material. See their websites for more information and to hear examples of their collaborative work.
